About BINAI
BINAI, the BawBaw Islamic Network Australia Inc., is a registered non-profit incorporated association (A0124531I) and a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
The organisation was founded to establish a permanent mosque, provide Islamic education, and build interfaith connections across the shire. Before the mosque opened, many families were driving over an hour each way to Morwell or Cranbourne for Friday prayers. Warragul Mosque changed that.
What Has Happened Here
Since opening, the mosque has hosted:
- Weekly Jummah prayers with 200+ worshippers
- Quran classes for children every Sunday
- Community Open Day welcoming over 1,000 neighbours
- Iftaar dinners during Ramadan
- Full Taraweeh prayers through Ramadan, including the first Khatam (Quran completion) in 2026
- School interfaith visits
- Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha celebrations
What Comes Next
The current premises at 72 Victoria St are leased. BINAI is fundraising to purchase land and build a permanent mosque facility in Warragul, with a proper prayer hall, wudu facilities, classrooms, and a community space.
The fundraising goal is $800,000. If you would like to be part of that, visit binai.org.au to donate or learn more.
Warragul Mosque is operated by BawBaw Islamic Network Australia Inc. (BINAI), a registered charity. ABN: 16 723 284 175.
