Accessibility

A mosque for everyone

Our commitment is simple — no one should be excluded from prayer, education, or community life at Warragul Mosque because of a physical, sensory, or cognitive difference.

At the mosque

Physical access

  • Step-free access path from the main entrance
  • Accessible wudu station at seated height
  • Accessible toilets (including baby change) in both men's and women's sections
  • Wide doorways and turning space throughout the prayer hall
  • Chairs available for those unable to sit or stand during prayer
  • Hearing loop available on request for Jumu'ah khutbah

On this website

Digital accessibility

  • WCAG 2.1 AA target for all public pages
  • Skip-to-content link on every page
  • Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators
  • Alt text on all images that convey information
  • Reduced-motion support for users who prefer it
  • Text resizing without loss of content, up to 200%

We test with keyboard-only navigation and at least one screen reader on each major release, and we're actively working toward full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance. If something here is broken for you, we want to hear about it.

Accommodations

Requesting support

If you'd like an accommodation for a visit, a class, or an event — quiet space, sign language interpreter, Auslan, easy-read materials, carer access — please email us at least a week ahead where possible, or call for urgent needs.

Feedback

Tell us what's working and what isn't. Feedback helps us prioritise our next round of improvements — on the website and at the mosque.
