Visiting
Modest clothing that covers shoulders and knees. A headscarf is provided at the entrance for women who don't have one. Non-Muslim visitors don't need to participate in prayer โ just observe from the side.
Shoes come off at the door and go on the rack provided. This keeps the prayer carpet clean for worshippers.
Jumu'ah (Friday) at 1:30 PM is the busiest and most welcoming time for visitors. Tours for school or community groups can be arranged via the contact form.
Due to religious requirements around purity, pets are not permitted inside the prayer hall. Assistance animals are always welcome.
The facilities described above are at our leased venue on Victoria Street. They're functional but cramped โ on Jumu'ah and Eid, we regularly have worshippers praying on the footpath outside.
The $800,000 capital campaign is raising funds to purchase a permanent building and fit it out with a purpose-built prayer hall, proper wudu facilities, classrooms, a funeral preparation (ghusl) room, and accessible parking โ features a growing community deserves.
